1. Jour 1 : transfert vers les hautes montagnes de l’Atlas

   You will be picked up from Marrakech airport and transferred to the small town of Imlil the Atlas Mountains. Your first night is spent in a family guest house.

2. Jour 2 : Imlil – Tizi n Mzik – Tizi Oussem

   Après le petit-déjeuner : mosquée Hassan II, puis Rabat (tour Hassan, mausoleum Mohammed V, kasbah des Oudayas). Après le déjeuner, franchissement du Rif jusqu’à Chefchaouen pour la nuit.

3. Jour 3 : Tizi Oussem – Tinzert

   After breakfast, you will walk to the Azzadene Valley, passing through traditional Berber mountain villages. The view behind you is from the High Atlas peaks, while the upcoming valley offers beautiful scenery with a rushing mountain stream surrounded by lush nut plantations. Going down, you will eventually enter the Ouirgane National Park, a protected area of natural beauty. Tonight you stay in Tinzert, a rustic Berber village. About. 5-6 hours of walking (640m descent)

4. Jour 4 : Tinzert – Imi n’Oughlad – Imlil

   Today is the sweetest day of the march; There are fewer steep slopes and descents so you can really enjoy the Mediterranean landscape. Shepherds tend to their goats among pretty valleys dotted with juniper, rosemary and thyme. You will walk to Imi Oughlad where you will have lunch before saying goodbye to your cook, guide (and mule). After lunch you will be taken care of and taken to your accommodation in Imlil where you can enjoy a hot shower followed by a relaxing afternoon. About 4 hours of walking (200m ascent)

5. Jour 5 : Imlil – Tizi n’Tichka – Ouarzazate – gorges du Dadès

   You will be picked up from your accommodation in Imlil at 9:00 am and go on the Atlas Mountains, passing by the beautiful Tizi-n-Tichka pass. You will cross many Berber villages, and once in the desert, you will see oases along the river and barren hillsides dotted with kasbahs (fortified homes that shelter families and their livestock). Along the way, you will have the opportunity to take a break and visit the studios of Ouarzazate or make a stop. Once in the Dades Gorge, you have the opportunity to hike or relax at your hotel. Night in Dades. (Total driving time 6 hours)

6. Jour 6 : gorges du Dadès – gorges du Todghra – Merzouga

   Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from the Dades Valley to the Todra Gorge - a massive fault dividing the High Atlas Mountains, rising 300 meters into a narrow valley with palm groves and Berber villages. Here you can hike to explore the palm grove, a green oasis full of tall date palms. After lunch, you will head further into the desert towards the city of Merzouga, where you can stock up for your trip in the desert. You will then drive to a kasbah to pick up your camel. At sunset, you will walk for an hour and a half from a camel to a Berber camp where you can enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and sleep under the stars or in tents in a desert camp. (Total driving time 6 hours)

7. Jour 7 : Merzouga – Alnif – Tazzarine – vallée du Draa – Aït Ben Haddou

   Wake up to a desert sunrise, then return to the Kasbah on a camel. You will then have the chance to cool off and enjoy a breakfast. Once you are refreshed, you will leave the desert to join Ait Benhaddou. It is an ancient walled city containing innumerable kasbahs and has been the subject of many atmospheric Hollywood movies (The Mummy, Gladiator, Alexander, Lawrence of Arabia ...). You will have the chance to walk around the buildings and explore with your guide. You will spend the night in a hotel near Ait Benhaddou. (Total driving time 5 - 6 hours)

8. Jour 8 : Aït Ben Haddou – kasbah de Telouet – Marrakech

   Travel along the Ounilla Valley to the Kasbah of Telouet, a ruined kasbah that was once a milestone for traders. Explore the Kasbah and after lunch, you will return by the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to Marrakech (total journey time 4h)
