From Marrakech

On the second of our Morocco itinerary 12 days tour from Casablanca, we will head the road to Asilah and Tangier. To start with, we will make a stop at Asilah’s old Medina and beach. Thereafter, we will drive to Tangier, we will not only visit Hericle’s cave but also Cape Spartel and the museum of the American legation. Also, we will wander around the old Medina before we check-in the hotel.

We will drive across Tetouan around 3h to arrive to the water falls of Akchour. After that, we will drive to Chefchaouen, the blue city of Morocco. You will have some free time in Chefchaouen after you check in the hotel.

On this day, we will visit Chaouen half a day before we leave to Meknes. Therefore, we will discover the Kasbah Museum at Wtat Lhmam square and hike up the Jeb Al-kalaa. After that, we will drive from Chaouen to Volubilis, the Roman ruins. Then, we will drive to Meknes and that’s the end of the 4 days of our Morocco 12 days tour from Casablanca.

Meknes was the 3 capital city of Morocco. We will visit the square of Lhdim and Bab Mansour. Thereafter, we will visit the mysterious prison of Cara. Also, we will discover the Shrij Swani pool and Melah, the Jewish part. We will end the day by driving to Fes and check-in our riad.

We will visit Fes with one of their local guides. Firstly, we will visit the king’s palace and Ceramic. After that, we will discover one of Fes’s Borjes called Nord Borj. Also, we will visit the Tanneries where they make the leather and have walk-in streets of the old medina. Moreover, we will visit the oldest and still functioning university in the world, Al Karaouine. Furthermore, we will visit another university called Al Bouaanania.

The highlight city of our 12 days tour itinerary from Casablanca is Merzouga. On this day, we will drive from Fes through the middle and high Atlas Mountains. First of all, we will visit Ifran, the cleanest city in Morocco, we will stop to take photos of the statue of the lion called Atlas lion. Thereafter, we will drive to the Cedar forest, we will stop to visit the monkeys, one of the animals that are still living in the atlas.

In the afternoon, will arrive at a panoramic view of the dates palm trees valley. After that, we will drive across Arfoud to arrive at the Sahara desert of Merzouga. We will check in the hotel before watching the sunset.

There, we will set up a fire for you and play Berber music after dinner. You can walk up the dunes to watch the milky way and the stars.

We will continue our trip west to Boumaln Dades. Firstly, we will visit a cooperative of Berbers’ clothes. Thereafter, we will visit the canyons of Morocco called Todgha Gorges. Also, we will stop at the mountains shaped as the monkey fingers and Tisdrine curves. At last, we will take you to spend the night in Dades.

On this Day, we will drive to Marrakech across the High Atlas Mountains. Before that, we will visit Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou. The latter are two main places where actors make movies. For instance, the movie Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. After that, we will drive through the mountains, we will make a stop at a panoramic view and at the argan oil cooperative. Yet, we will arrive at Marrakech and take you to your accommodation.

We will visit Marrakech with a local guide. Therefore, he will come to your hotel in the morning to start the tour. We will visit the Jamaa El Fana square and Kotobia Mosque. Also, we will visit the Menara and Majorelle garden. Furthermore, we will explore Bahia Palace and Saadien’s Tombs. Late afternoon, you will have free time to explore Marrakech walking.
