5-Day Morocco Tour From Casablanca

Detailed Itinerary

1. Day 1: Casablanca to Fes

   We will start our 5 days tour from Casablanca by picking you up from the airport or from your accommodation. To start, we will visit the mosque of Hassan II. The latter the 7^th largest mosque in the world and one of the few religious establishments in Morocco that is open to non-Muslims. After that, we will head to the city of Rabat, one of the four imperial cities of Morocco. There, we will visit the Hassan Tower and the kasbah of the Oudayas. Also, we will have the chance to visit the Chellah site. Later, we will hit the road to Fes and spend the night there in a Riad.

2. Day 2: Fes guided tour

   On the second day of our 5 days tour from Casablanca, you will discover the city of Fes. We will be accompanied by a local guide that will explain to you the history of Fes. First of all, we will visit the Royal Palace also known as Dar al-Makhzen. Thereafter, we will visit The Mellah, which is the oldest Jewish quarter in Morocco (1438). It is located in Fes' El Jdid on the former district of the Syrian archers of the sultan.

   Furthermore, we will head to Borj Nord to see a panoramic view of the city. Later, we will visit the tanneries and have a walk in the old Medina. Not to mention, will visit the universities of Al Quaraouiyine and Al Bouaanania. Overnight in the same city.

3. Day 3: Fes to Merzouga

   On the third day of our 5 days tour itinerary from Casablanca, we will head to Merzouga, the highlight of all our Morocco tours. Before that, we will make a few stops on the way. To start, we will visit Ifrane, the cleanest city in Morocco. There, we will make a stop to see the Atlas lion statue, carved by a German prisoner during World War II in exchange for his freedom.

   After, we will move to Azrou to see the Barbary macaque in the Cedar forest. You will have the chance to feed and take some pictures with them.

   Next, we will drive across the High Atlas Mountains to arrive at the Ziz valley. It is a vast area of palm trees that is crossed by Oued Ziz. Later in the afternoon, we will arrive at the Sahara desert of Merzouga. There, your camels will be waiting for you to take you on a trip in the heart of Merzouga desert towards your camp where you will have dinner, enjoy Berber music, and spend the night.

4. Day 4: Merzouga to Dades Gorges

   On this day of our 5 days tour from Casablanca, it is better that you wake up early to see a magnificent sunrise. After having your breakfast, you will take the camels back to the place where you started. Your driver will be waiting for you there to start the day trip. We will hit the road towards the city of Rissani where you will have the chance to explore its Souk (Market) and admire its art crafts. This Souk is crowded mainly on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

   Next, we will drive across the Tafilalt oasis where we can visit an old system of irrigation. Furthermore, we will make a stop at Tinjdad to have lunch. Then, we continue our way to the stunning canyons of Todgha gorges. They are located at 1300 m altitude at the foot of the Great Atlas Mountains and extend over 30 km. Later, we will head to Dades gorges where we will see the monkey toes rock formations and spend the night.

5. Day 5: Dades Gorges to Marrakech

   On the last day of our 5 days tour itinerary from Casablanca, we will drive across the land of roses and the road of thousands Kasbahs. We will arrive at the Cinema city of Ouarzazate. We will make a stop to take pictures of Taourirt Kasbah, then we will go to visit the Atlas studio. Later, we will have the chance to visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, It is one of the most famous tourist sites in southern Morocco. In fact, it is a fortified village made of earthen buildings and built on a hill in the middle of a valley.

   In the afternoon, we continue our way towards Marrakech passing by Tichka passes. We will make a stop to take some pictures of the panoramic views and another one to visit a cooperative of Argan oil if you are interested. We will arrive at Marrakech and take you to the airport or to your accommodation. and that is the end of our 5 days tour from Casablanca.
